Kim Atkinson
Kim Atkinson is a percussionist and drum teacher based in Sebastopol. He teaches djembe, conga, samba batucada, drum set, body rhythm, and rhythm theory. Kim also leads the Carnaval Spirit bateria.

Guitarist and cavaquinhista Carlos Oliveira is one of the foremost Brazilian stylists in California. His music reflects his northeastern heritage. Carlos performs solo, backs up fine local singers, and fronts a band with jazz luminaries such as Harvey Weinapel.
Stephanie Ozer
This Bay Area pianist/composer performs Brazilian jazz with her band "O Começo".She recorded her new CD, "O Começo: New Beginnings in Brazilian Jazz" with legendary vocalist Leny Andrade in Rio, and with stellar local musicians, including Claudia Villela, Mary Fettig, Randy Vincent, Phil Thompson and Scott Thompson.

Cristina Ribeiro

Robert Wallace
